Application Deadline Approaching for Master’s Degree Program

Key staff: Lucero Robles, LCSW, Director, Quality Assurance

CalMHSA’s Project Cultivate — a collaboration with Palo Alto University and county behavioral health — offers master’s degrees in counseling to county staff. The deadline for county staff to apply is July 30.

While participation agreements for this program have not yet been finalized, CalMHSA’s contracts team will follow up with a confirmation of interest for counties that have already expressed interest in the fall 2023 program. If your county has not yet expressed interest and would like to do so, please email us at Workforce@calmhsa.org.

The July 30 deadline is for the program’s initial cohort of students for the fall semester. Counties that have expressed interest in Project Cultivate are asked to provide the following information so that CalMHSA can reach out to prospective students and begin drafting staff agreements. Please use the survey link to submit information for each staff member interested in applying:

  1. Staff member’s full legal name
  2. Staff email and phone number
  3. Employment commitment: Number of years the staff will be expected to remain working with the county following the execution of the staff agreement. Please note: this information will need to match what will be listed in your county’s participation agreement.
  4. County liaison name, email and phone number

CalMHSA will contact all staff members and finalize the staff agreement. More information is available at www.paloaltou.edu/calmhsa-project-cultivate.
