Who: The Department of Health Care Services (DHCS), the California Behavioral Health Director’s Association (CBHDA), the California Mental Health Services Authority (CalMHSA), and Counties are working together on a cost survey tool. The data submitted through the cost survey tool will drive the development of service rates needed to implement the new Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) codes and the overall payment reform methodology that will go live 7/1/2023.
What: To support this process, counties are reaching out to groups of their Community Based Organization (CBO) providers to complete the contract provider version of the cost survey tool. The attached cost survey tool needs to be completed by the contract providers. The directions on how to complete the cost survey tool are attached.
When: Each selected contractor is asked to submit the cost survey tool no later than February 3rd, 2022. The completed cost surveys should be sent to both the contact person for the county that selected you for participation and to CalMHSA; paymentreform@calmhsa.org
How: A training meeting and question and answer session was held on January 14th at 10:00 AM. Watch the recording below.
