RFP Issued for Upcoming Credentialing Services Program
Key Staff: Dawn Kaiser, Senior Director, Managed Care Operations
To assist county plans with their credentialing responsibilities as managed care plans, CalMHSA has launched a Request for Proposal (RFP) to select a contractor for credentialing/recredentialing services. We anticipate selecting a vendor by early June and intend to launch this service on behalf of interested counties later this year.
Details about the RFP and upcoming initiatives include:
- The credentialing service will address the requirements as described in Mental Health & Substance Use Disorder Services Information Notice 18-019 and Behavioral Health Information Notice 22-070.
- Qualifying vendors responding to the RFP must be credentialing verification organizations and certified by the National Committee on Quality Assurance.
- The initiative will be available to county Mental Health Plans, Drug Medi-Cal Organized Delivery Systems and Drug Medi-Cal State Plans.
- Pricing is yet to be determined.
